A pleased full-house greeted filmmaker Mario Pinzon and actress Laura Lozano (Maria) at the Museo de Arte Moderno in Bogota yesterday, October 3rd, for the first of two screenings of Immaculate Perception in the 26th Festival de Cine de Bogota.

"It was great to see Immaculate Perception on a big screen again", remarked Colombian-American director Mario Pinzon, who flew from his New York home to attend the festival.

Immaculate Perception won the Best Short Drama in the 2006 Kent Festival, and was a finalist in the Bronx Independent Film Festival, the Astoria Moving Picture Festival, and others. Bogota marks the first international placement of the film.

The second and final screening of Immaculate Perception will be Thursday at 5PM at the Museo de Arte Moderno. An even larger crowd is expected, as the film has picked up an enthusiastic buzz from festival attendees.

Peruvian documenatarian, Jairo E. Gonazales, of
Zulutime Media, was a festival attendee and remarked: "It was great meeting Mario Pinzon at the Inauguration. I made it a point to check out Immaculate Perception."

"We hope this festival catalyzes new international interest in our films, which, although set in New York City, we think have broad universal gut appeal," explains Third Eye producer Vora Vor from her production office in New York City.

Third Eye Productions is a full-service film production company based in New York City, currently in varying stages of pre-production on several feature-length projects, including a serialized version of Immaculate Perception. "The series would obviously draw out many of the plot points of the short, as well as fully flesh out the characters and supernatural element," explains Vor, who also wrote and scored the short.
